Design, Supply, Installation and Support of Ammonia Refrigeration System for Temperature-Controlled Warehouses

The National Logistics Corporation (NLC) is procuring a comprehensive refrigeration system using ammonia for temperature-controlled warehouses located in Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi. This project involves the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, training, and warranty support of refrigeration plants to maintain specified storage temperatures for pharmaceutical and logistics products. The scope includes mechanical, electrical, and control systems, compressors, condensers, evaporators, refrigerant piping, insulation, PIR panels, doors, docks, and floor insulation with XPS foam. The warehouses have significant storage capacities with multiple chiller rooms designed to maintain temperatures between +2°C to +8°C. Eligible bidders must be OEMs, importers, manufacturers, authorized distributors, or dealers with proven experience in ammonia refrigeration systems for cold storage warehouses. Firms should have a valid PEC category, NTN/STRN registration, active sales tax registration, and demonstrate financial capability with an annual turnover of at least PKR 1000 million supported by audited financial statements. Experience of 3-5 years in refrigeration and cold storage projects with at least three similar completed projects in the last five years is mandatory. OEM authorization and technical staff adequacy are also required. The tender follows PPRA Rule 36(d) with a two-stage two-envelope bidding procedure. Technical and commercial proposals must be submitted separately. Tender fee of PKR 2,000 and bid security of PKR 10,000,000 in the form of bank drafts are compulsory. The submission deadline is strictly enforced, and bids must be delivered to HQ NLC Harding Road near AFIRM Rawalpindi by hand or post before the closing date. Late submissions will be rejected.
