Annual Contract for Repair Maintenance of Historical Clock Tower Machine and Providing & Fixing of Required Parts at KMC Head Office Karachi

The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Finance & Accounts Department (Contract Management Wing) Karachi invites bids for the Annual Contract for Repair Maintenance of the Historical Clock Tower Machine and providing & fixing of required parts/items into the Historical Clock Tower installed at KMC Head Office Building M.A Jinnah Road, Karachi for the Financial Year 2026-2027. This contract covers comprehensive servicing including routine maintenance, oiling, greasing, cleaning of time machine parts, alarm/chiming machine parts, and striking machine parts. The scope also includes coloring of the clock tower machine body, four side dial, cleaning of bell and machine room across three floors, and provision and fixing of various parts such as alarm hammer, wires, sever fixings, holders, cable, latch bolts, kabzas, and screws as required during the contract period. Eligible bidders must be registered with NTN, Sales Tax or SRB, and provide a bid security of 5% of the estimated cost. Firms should have a minimum of three years relevant experience in similar repair and maintenance works, with at least one successfully completed contract with KMC in the last three years. The average annual turnover for the last three years should not be less than the quoted bid amount. Income Tax returns under ATL for the last three consecutive years and an affidavit of no blacklisting or litigation are mandatory. Joint ventures are allowed if eligibility criteria are met. The bidding documents are available on the Sindh EPADS portal and must be submitted online by 3:00 p.m. on 16-07-2026. Original bidding document fee of Rs. 2,500/- in the form of pay order must be submitted to the Director (Contract Management Wing), Finance & Accounts Department, KMC by the deadline. Bids will be opened the same day at 3:30 p.m. at the same venue. In case of no or non-responsive bids, re-opening will be on 06-08-2026 at 3:30 p.m. Bidders are advised to ensure their bids are substantially responsive and comply with all eligibility and evaluation criteria. The bid security must be valid for at least six months. Late bids will be rejected. The contract duration is 12 months with a penalty clause for delays. The work will be executed under the supervision of the Chief Engineer (E&M), KMC.
