Auction of Minor Minerals Lease Areas in District Karak

NOTE: This is an AUCTION/LEASE notice, not a procurement tender. Bidders pay the department to acquire ownership, lease, rental, or collection rights. The Directorate General Mines and Minerals Khyber Pakhtunkhwa invites registered contractors of Minor Minerals to participate in the auction and grant of Minor Mineral lease of each area independently for a period of one year on the basis of 'As is where is' as per the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines & Mineral Act, 2017. The auction will be held in the office of the Deputy Commissioner Karak on 11/09/2026 at 11:00 AM. In case of non-auction due to any reason, the next date of auction will be 11/09/2026 at 11:00 AM. Interested parties must submit applications with a non-refundable cost of Rs. 10,000 plus 16% Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sales Tax. Applications must be submitted at least three days before the auction date. Blacklisted or unregistered persons are not allowed to participate. Successful bidders must deposit the total bid money within three days of the auction or forfeit the call deposit. The highest bidder will be considered, subject to the difference between the first and second highest bid not exceeding 10%. The successful bidder will be responsible for paying excise duty, surface rent, and working in accordance with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines and Minerals Act, 2017. Only verified challans for transportation of minerals will be accepted. The auction will be conducted at the office of the Assistant Director (Tech) Minerals Development Karak. Bidders can obtain further information from the office during working hours 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM. It is advisable to visit and inspect the areas before bidding to avoid any disputes. This auction offers a valuable opportunity for contractors to secure mineral leases in Karak district. Ensure all documentation, including CNIC, NTN, partnership deed, and paid-up capital evidence, is complete to avoid disqualification.
