AUCTION: Unserviceable Public Assets by Communication & Works Department Gilgit-Baltistan Skardu

NOTE: This is an AUCTION/LEASE notice, not a procurement tender. Bidders pay the department to acquire ownership, lease, rental, or collection rights. The Communication & Works Department Gilgit-Baltistan invites sealed bids from the general public for the auction of obsolete, unserviceable, and surplus public assets located in Skardu. This auction offers an opportunity for interested bidders to acquire various heavy machinery and scrap items on an 'AS IS WHERE IS' basis. Items being auctioned include: - Chain Dozer Ty-220 (chain), 22000 Kg - Chain Dozer t-180 (China) U/S, 12000 Kg - Bed Ford D Truck (GLT-1039, 1976 Model), 6000 Kg - Crane (Breakdown) Model Q.V.A-8 Ton. China (Sino Mach), 8000 Kg - Air Compressor Machine Various type 450 kg P/Compressor (19 Nos x 450)= 8550 Kgs - Scraps items various type i/c drill machine scraps, engine, gear box, frame etc, 5500 Kg - Tyre various size (200 nos), Motor Cycle Kawasaki 100 cc 2 nos (only Frame) & GLT-90 Jeep CJ-5 (Only frame), 01 Lot The auction will be conducted through sealed bids in accordance with government rules. Bidders must produce a valid CNIC and attach a copy with their bid. Earnest money at 5% of the reserve price is required in the form of CDR in favor of the Executive Engineer, B&R Division GB C&WD Skardu. The auction documents will be issued upon production of earnest money and valid CNIC. Interested bidders may inspect the assets during office hours from 10 AM to 4 PM on working days before bid submission. The auction closing date is 29-10-2026 with bid opening starting from 09:30 AM onwards for different lots. The successful bidder must deposit 25% of the bid amount within 7 working days and the balance within 14 days, lifting the assets within 20 days of full payment. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of earnest money. The department is not responsible for any defect or transportation costs after sale. Eligibility requires valid CNIC and exclusion of employees of the C&W Department GB and related persons. The auction is a transparent opportunity for citizens of Pakistan to acquire these assets. Bidders should carefully quote prices against complete lots and ensure compliance with all terms and conditions.
