Tender Description
Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO) invites quotations for the supply, installation, and commissioning of two advanced automated systems at its Lubricants Manufacturing Plant A (LMP-A) located in Karachi. The procurement includes an Automatic Online Fiber Laser Coding System and an Automatic Electromagnetic Induction Cap Sealing System, both designed to enhance production line efficiency and product traceability.
Items being procured:
- Automatic Fiber Laser Coding Machine (Qty: 1)
- Automatic Electromagnetic Induction Cap Sealing Machine (Qty: 1)
The Fiber Laser Coding System will provide permanent, high-speed, non-contact marking of variable production data such as batch numbers, manufacturing and expiry dates, barcodes, QR codes, and other variable data directly onto moving lubricant containers and cartons. The system includes laser source, marking head, controller with HMI, sensors, encoders, safety devices, and integration with existing PLC-based packing line controls. It must operate continuously in an industrial environment with dust and oil mist, and comply with international laser safety standards.
The Electromagnetic Induction Cap Sealing System will apply tamper-evident foil seals on moving containers at line speed. It includes induction power generator, sealing head, adjustable mounting stand, control panel with HMI, sensors, and safety interlocks. The system must be air-cooled, compatible with various container sizes, and comply with electromagnetic field safety standards.
Bidders must conduct a mandatory pre-bid site visit to verify conditions and confirm equipment sizing. The scope covers supply, delivery, installation, integration, testing, commissioning, training, warranty support, and optional post-warranty AMC. Performance security of 10% of contract value is required. Payment will be made upon delivery, installation, and successful Site Acceptance Test (SAT). Liquidated damages apply for delays.
Interested suppliers should ensure compliance with technical specifications and provide detailed technical compliance sheets. Training for operations and maintenance personnel will be provided. Documentation including operation manuals, wiring diagrams, and safety certificates must be supplied.
This tender offers a valuable opportunity for qualified suppliers with experience in industrial laser coding and induction sealing equipment to partner with PSO in upgrading its lubricant packaging line in Karachi. Bidders are advised to prepare comprehensive proposals addressing all technical and commercial requirements. The submission deadline is 11th September 2026.
A practical tip for bidders: Conduct the mandatory site visit early to fully understand the existing line conditions and integration challenges, ensuring your proposed solution meets all operational and safety requirements without costly modifications later.
