Tender Description
The National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGC) invites bids for the construction of a boundary wall, main gate, watch towers, patrolling path, security barracks, reception office, drains, sewerage system, and allied civil works at the 220KV Grid Station located in Quaid-e-Azam Business Park, Sheikhupura. This project is being procured under the department of National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGCP) and is based in Sheikhupura, Punjab. The scope of work includes excavation, earthworks, reinforced concrete works, brick masonry, plumbing, electrical wiring, and installation of security infrastructure such as watch towers and security barracks. The project also involves construction of roads, drainage systems, septic tanks, and water supply networks including submersible pumps and HDPE water tanks. Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category C-3 or higher with relevant codes, be on the Active Taxpayers List of the Federal Board of Revenue and relevant provincial authorities, and not be blacklisted by any government or public department. Experience requirements include successful completion of similar civil works contracts within the last ten years with a minimum contract value of PKR 338 million. Key personnel such as civil engineers and site supervisors with relevant experience are required. Bidders must submit their bids through the e-PADS system in two separate envelopes for technical and financial bids, accompanied by a bid security of PKR 7 million in original form. The bid submission deadline is 21st May 2026 at 11:00 AM PST, with technical bids opening at 11:30 AM the same day at the office of the Chief Engineer (MP&M) NGC, Lahore. The bid documents can be purchased from the Chief Engineer (MP&M) NGC office in Lahore upon payment of a non-refundable fee of PKR 5,000. The project completion period is 400 days from the date of commencement. Bidders are advised to carefully review the bidding documents, visit the site, and ensure compliance with all technical and financial requirements. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of the original bid security in hard copy before the bid closing deadline, as failure to do so will result in rejection of the bid. This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified civil contractors to participate in a major infrastructure project under the auspices of the National Grid Company of Pakistan, with clear guidelines on eligibility, submission, and evaluation processes. The project demands high standards of workmanship, adherence to WAPDA/NGC specifications, and comprehensive quality control measures throughout the construction period.
