Tender Description
The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) invites bids for the conversion of an ordinary safe room into a reinforced cement concrete (RCC) strong room at its Drushkhela Branch in Swat. This procurement is specifically for renovation and refurbishment works under the Engineering Wing North, NBP Islamabad. The project involves dismantling existing masonry, false ceiling, flooring, doors, windows, grills, electrical and plumbing fixtures, and relocating existing equipment such as cash safes and fire alarms. The technical scope includes RCC walls, beams, steel reinforcement, brick masonry, plastering, internal painting, wooden doors, false ceiling, electrical wiring, lighting fixtures, and installation of a standard strong room door with advanced locking mechanisms. The contractor must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in financial category C-6 or above with specialization codes CE-10 and EE-04, and must be active on the FBR Active Taxpayer List and Provincial Revenue Board. Experience of completing at least three similar projects of banks, financial institutions, or multinational companies up to Rs. 25 Million in the last three years is mandatory. Bids must be submitted electronically through the e-Pak Acquisition & Disposal System (EPADS) portal by 11:00 AM on June 30, 2026, with original bid security of Rs. 40,000/- submitted to NBP before the closing time. The technical bid will be opened at 11:30 AM the same day at the NBP Engineering Wing office in Islamabad. The contract duration is 45 days from commencement. Earnest money in the form of pay order, bank guarantee, or bankers cheque is required. The bid evaluation will follow the Single Stage One Envelope procedure under PPRA rules. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of the original bid security instrument to avoid disqualification, as electronic submission alone is insufficient. Also, bidders should carefully review the detailed technical specifications and approved brand lists provided in the bidding documents to ensure compliance and avoid rejection. This tender offers a significant opportunity for qualified contractors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to engage with a reputable financial institution on a critical security infrastructure upgrade. The estimated cost of the project is bold PKR 25 Million, and the submission deadline is strictly enforced. The procurement is governed by the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules and the latest Public Procurement Regulations 2023. All bids must comply with the integrity pact and anti-corruption measures outlined in the bidding documents.
