Tender Description
This corrigendum is issued by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department regarding the previously published Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) No.EE/C.M/E&M/KMC/177/2026. The original NIT appeared in Daily Jung on 31-07-2026, Daily Hilal-e-Pakistan on 30-07-2026, and Daily Dawn on 30-07-2026. The amendment specifically addresses Clause No. 7 of the terms and conditions, focusing on the eligibility criteria for bidders.
Items being procured:
Specific item list not provided in the notice.
Bidders are now required to submit signed evidence against the eligibility criteria for their own firms or companies only. Joint Venture (JV) submissions between two or more firms will not be accepted for this tender. This change is intended to streamline the evaluation process and ensure that only individual firms are considered for award. The department has clarified that only one work will be awarded to each successful firm under this NIT, which is aimed at promoting prompt response and efficient project execution.
The date for submission and opening of bids remains unchanged. Bids must be submitted by 21-08-2026 at 10:00AM, with the opening scheduled for 10:30AM on the same day. All other terms and conditions of the original NIT remain applicable and unchanged.
Firms interested in participating should ensure that their documentation is complete and that all eligibility evidence is properly signed and submitted as per the revised instructions. A practical tip for bidders is to double-check that no JV documentation is included and to prepare all eligibility proofs on official letterhead, signed by authorized personnel, to avoid disqualification at the technical evaluation stage.
