Tender Description
The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi invites bids for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 117.12 kWp Carport Grid Tied Utility Interactive Photo Voltaic Solar Power System at Staff Town IBA Karachi. This tender is issued by the Institute of Business Administration IBA Karachi located in Karachi, Sindh. The project involves a complete solar PV system including high-quality N-type bifacial solar panels, grid-tied inverters, DC and AC electrical components, earthing systems, cable trays, and all associated civil and electrical works. The system is designed to be grid interactive, allowing import from and export to the grid as per load requirements. The technical scope includes detailed design submissions such as single line diagrams, shading analysis, grounding layouts, and compliance with IEC standards. Bidders must be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council in category C-6 or above with EE-04 and EE-11 (Solar) certifications, have valid tax registrations including FBR and Sindh Revenue Board, and demonstrate at least three years of experience in solar PV systems with completion of minimum two projects of 200 kWp or above. The tender requires submission of technical and financial bids separately under the Single Stage Two Envelope Procedure. The bid security is 2% of the estimated value. The tender fee is Rs. 5,000 non-refundable. The deadline for submission is July 15, 2026 at 2:30 pm, with bid opening at 3:00 pm the same day at IBA Main Campus Karachi. Bidders are advised to visit the site on July 6, 2026 at 11:00 am. The bids must be submitted through the SPPRA EPADS system and original bid security delivered to the Security Office, Gate #4, IBA Main Campus University Enclave Karachi. The contract includes a two-year operation and maintenance period post commissioning. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all technical documents, including manufacturer certifications, warranty documents, and detailed design drawings, are complete and compliant with the tender specifications to avoid disqualification. Also, bidders should carefully prepare their PEC registration and financial turnover documents as per the tender requirements to meet eligibility criteria. The submission address and contact details are clearly provided for any clarifications. The tender emphasizes strict adherence to SPP Rules 2010 and the integrity pact requirements. This is a significant opportunity for qualified solar energy firms to contribute to sustainable energy solutions at a premier educational institution in Karachi.
