Tender Description
The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) is offering the disposal of dirty transformer oil through an e-auction process in Hyderabad, Sindh. This procurement invites interested suppliers and contractors to participate in the sale of used transformer oil stored at HESCO facilities. The disposal is on an 'as is where is' basis, requiring bidders to inspect the oil condition and quantity before submitting their offers.
The scope includes the removal, weighment, counting, and loading of the dirty transformer oil by the successful bidder. Full payment must be made within 21 working days of the Letter of Acceptance issuance. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of the earnest money. The bidder must also remove the oil from the site within 21 working days of receiving the release order, or daily rental charges of 1% of the total value will be applied.
Eligibility requires submission of earnest money in the form of a CDR or bank guarantee from a scheduled bank in Pakistan, valid for 120 days. The earnest money must be in the bidder's name, and bids without it will be rejected. Bidders should ensure they are not blacklisted by any government or related entities. All applicable government taxes will be charged as per Federal Board of Revenue rules.
The submission deadline and address are specified in the tender documents issued by HESCO. Bidders are advised to carefully review all terms and conditions, including the force majeure clause, which allows for time extensions under specific circumstances such as war, riots, or court injunctions.
A practical tip for bidders is to conduct a thorough inspection of the transformer oil before bidding to avoid disputes later. Ensuring the earnest money is properly submitted and in the correct name will prevent disqualification. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for firms experienced in handling industrial waste and disposal services to engage with a major power distribution company in Sindh.
