Tender Description
Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) invites bids for the disposal of old unserviceable power transformers located at various 132kV grid stations including Larkana City, New Larkana, Warah, Jacobabad, Karampur, Shahdadkot, Naudero, Kashmore, and Thull. This procurement is specifically managed by the Chief Engineer (Development) PMU SEPCO Sukkur and targets registered firms with valid CNIC, NTN, and STRN if available. The transformers are sold on an as-is-where-is basis, and bidders must quote rates for the complete tender to be considered.
The technical scope includes inspection and lifting of power transformers of various capacities ranging from 1MVA to 37.5MVA. Bidders are encouraged to physically inspect the items at designated stores during office hours from 16-04-2026 to 03-05-2026. The sale includes all associated costs such as weightment, counting, measuring, loading, labor, and transport charges. The successful bidder will be responsible for safe removal and restoration of the site, adhering to SEPCO protocols and local laws.
Eligibility requires firms to be registered taxpayers with valid CNIC and NTN, and not blacklisted or debarred by WAPDA, NTDC, or DISCOs. Earnest Money in the form of CDR, bank guarantee, or pay order amounting to PKR 7,814,300/- must be submitted before the bid submission deadline. Bids must be submitted electronically via E-PADS on the PPRA website, and hard copies will not be accepted. The tender will be opened on 04-05-2026 at 11:00 hrs in the presence of bidders' representatives.
Bidders should ensure their bids remain valid for 90 calendar days from the date of opening. A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the bid security requirements and ensure the CDR is in the name of Chief Engineer (Dev.) PMU SEPCO Sukkur to avoid rejection. Timely submission on E-PADS and thorough site inspection will enhance bid responsiveness and compliance.
