Tender Description
The Culture, Tourism, Antiquities & Archives Department of the Government of Sindh, based in Karachi, is procuring specialized equipment and materials for research, survey, exploration, archival, and artifacts conservation. This procurement is managed by the Exploration and Excavation Branch under the Directorate General of Antiquities & Archaeology. The scope includes a comprehensive range of items essential for archaeological and archival work, including materials for excavation, conservation, and artifact preservation.
Eligible bidders must be original manufacturers, authorized sole agents, or suppliers with valid NTN, STRN, and SRB registration certificates. They should have at least five years of experience in similar contracts and must have successfully completed at least three similar work contracts in the last five years. Compliance with FBR and ATL registration is mandatory. The tender requires submission of earnest money and bid security equivalent to 5% of the quoted bid amount, with a non-refundable tender fee of PKR 3,000. Bids must be submitted electronically through the e-PADS system by 07 May 2026 at 12:30 PM, with technical bids opening the same day at 1:00 PM at the department's office behind Rumi Graveyard, Near Grid Station, Northern Bypass, Karachi.
Bidders should carefully prepare their technical and financial proposals in separate envelopes as per the single stage two envelope procedure. It is crucial to submit original tender fee and bid security documents by the deadline to avoid rejection. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all pages of the bidding document are signed and stamped, and to provide samples for quoted items to meet evaluation criteria effectively. This tender offers a significant opportunity for firms specializing in archaeological and archival supplies to engage with a prestigious government department in Sindh.
