Design, Build, Finance, Operate, Maintain and Transfer of Peoples Green Transport Project Karachi and Hyderabad

The Sindh Mass Transit Authority (SMTA) invites bids for the design, build, finance, operate, maintain and transfer of the Peoples Green Transport Project in Karachi and Hyderabad. The tender covers procurement of electric buses, charging infrastructure, depots, ITS and related services under a public-private partnership. The project aims to provide sustainable urban mobility with electric buses and associated facilities in Sindh. The scope includes supply of 500 electric buses (300 twelve-meter and 200 eight to nine-meter), development of bus depots, installation of charging stations, intelligent transport systems, and operation and maintenance for 10 years. The project will be implemented in phases with routes in Karachi and Hyderabad. Bidders must meet financial and technical eligibility criteria including minimum net worth and experience in similar projects. Bids must be submitted online via SPPRA EPADS by February 12, 2026, 12:00 hours PST. A bid security of PKR 425 million is required. The tender documents include detailed technical specifications, concession agreement, and evaluation criteria. The project supports sustainable transport and carbon emission reduction in Sindh.
