Hiring of 200 KVA Marine Diesel Generator on Rent with Operator for Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited

Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited invites proposals and sealed quotations from well reputed sub-contractors and firms experienced in marine diesel generator supply on rent. The requirement is for hiring a diesel generator with a capacity of 200 KVA, 50 Hz, 440 Volt, 3-phase, including an operator and helper on a rental basis for two months. This generator will provide electric power to various systems at the shore of the ship under construction. The scope includes transportation of the generator from the sub-contractor premises to KS&EW and back. Items being procured: - Diesel Generator, 200 KVA capacity - Voltage: 440 Volt, 3-phase - Frequency: 50 Hz - Operator and helper services - Transportation to and from KS&EW The technical scope requires the generator to meet the specified power rating and voltage standards suitable for marine applications. The rental period is two months, and the service must ensure reliable power supply to the shipyard systems. Interested bidders must have relevant experience and capability to provide the generator with operator and transportation. Documents can be obtained Monday to Friday between 0900 to 1600 hours. Offers must be submitted before 1100 hours on 30th September 2026 in a single package containing two sealed envelopes: one for the Technical Proposal with pre-qualification form and the other for the Commercial/Financial Proposal. Technical proposals will be opened on 30th September 2026 at 1130 hours in the presence of bidders. Financial proposals of only technically qualified bidders will be opened later as intimated by KS&EW.
