The Independent System and Market Operator (ISMO) Islamabad invites qualified and experienced legal consultants to submit proposals for the hiring of services of a Legal Consultant specializing in Contracts and Dispute Resolution. This consultancy is critical for ISMO as it transitions into a fully operational entity managing the national power system and wholesale electricity market. The consultant will provide comprehensive legal advisory services including regulatory compliance, corporate governance, contract drafting, dispute resolution, and risk mitigation strategies. Items being procured: - Legal advisory for regulatory compliance - Legal due diligence, risk assessments, and compliance reviews - Support for legal petition submissions and regulatory proceedings - Corporate governance advisory including statutory interpretation and compliance - Drafting of board resolutions, implementation memos, and legal instruments - Pre-litigation advisory and dispute avoidance strategies - Advice on labor laws, employment contracts, and HR best practices - Legal guidance on ISMO administrative policies and governance frameworks The contract tenure is 6 person-months (130 man-days) over one year, with possible extension based on performance and business needs. The consultant will report to the Chief Law Officer and coordinate with ISMO's legal, regulatory, HR, and procurement teams. Eligibility requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, valid bar enrolment, and strong expertise in public sector legal advisory and dispute resolution.
