Hiring of Services for Maintenance of Fire Hydrant System

The Pakistan Security Printing Corporation (Pvt.) Ltd (Procurement Department) in Karachi is procuring services for the maintenance of its Fire Hydrant System (FHS) under contract reference P69407. Items being procured: - Four (04) Quarterly Preventive Maintenance Visits per year - Inspection and maintenance of Standby and Jockey Pumps - Coupling inspection/alignment - Cooling loop inspection - Packing gland inspection and adjustment - Bearing inspection and lubrication - Pump vibration and noise analysis - Pump performance testing and verification - Suction and discharge pressure monitoring - Verification of automatic start through pressure-drop simulation - Inspection of pump foundations and alignment - Diesel engine inspection including fuel injection pump, crankcase, battery voltage, air cleaner, fuel and oil filters, coolant level, drive shaft, RPM verification - Control panels and automation inspection, electrical connections tightening, alarms and protections testing - Pressure and valve maintenance including PRV adjustment, gate valve greasing, NRV servicing, landing valve testing, hose reel testing, pressure gauge calibration - Fire hydrant network inspection including piping, joints, pillar hydrants, sprinkler lines, drain valves, water flow, hydrant cabinets, hoses, nozzles - Operational testing of pumps and controllers - Training of PSPC staff on operational and emergency response The service provider must have a minimum of ten (10) years' experience in installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Fire Hydrant & Fire Fighting Systems with documentary evidence. They must have a functional support/service office in Karachi and deploy at least two qualified and experienced technicians during each preventive maintenance visit. The provider must be an OEM-authorized dealer or service provider for the fire pump house equipment installed at PSPC and demonstrate experience with UL/FM approved fire pump systems. The contract duration is initially one year from the date of commencement with possible extension up to three years based on performance. Payment will be made quarterly after satisfactory completion of each preventive maintenance visit and submission of reports and invoices.
