Tender Description
The Communication and Works Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, based in Peshawar, is procuring improvement and repairing works for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Houses. This includes the revamping of houses located in Islamabad Sub Head SI, SII, and the Old Block. The project falls under ADP No.362/250244 for the financial year 2025-26. The scope covers comprehensive civil works aimed at enhancing the structural and functional aspects of the housing units.
Bidders must be registered with PEC in category C3 and above, possess valid FBR and KPPRA registrations, and have relevant experience in similar civil works projects. The procurement follows the Single Stage Two Envelope Procedure on the E-PAD system, requiring submission of both technical and financial bids online. Earnest money amounting to 2% of the bid value along with stamp duty and a 0.03% tender fee is mandatory. The bid security must be submitted as a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) in the name of the procuring entity before the closing date.
The last date for bid submission is **06 May 2026 at 12:00 PM**, with technical bids opening at 12:30 PM the same day. Financial bids will be opened after approval of the technical bids as per rules. Bidders should ensure that the technical bid is uploaded online and a hard copy is submitted to the office for clarity. The bid security requirements are strict, especially for bids quoting more than 10% below the engineer’s estimate, which require additional security deposits.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the detailed bid security instructions and ensure all documents, including the original CDR, are submitted timely and correctly. This will prevent disqualification due to non-compliance. Also, purchasing the bid documents early and preparing the technical bid with all required affidavits and certifications will smooth the submission process.
