Tender Description
This tender invites qualified contractors to supply, install, test, commission, and maintain LED solar street lights at Karachi Export Processing Zone. Issued by the Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA), this project focuses on deploying 180 Watt ECONO Series LED solar street lights with integrated mono crystalline solar panels and batteries. The scope includes installation of streetlight poles with foundations and a two-year post-installation maintenance service.
The work involves precise engineering and quality materials to ensure durability and efficiency in Karachi's industrial environment. Contractors must handle foundation construction, pole installation, and electrical connections while adhering to technical specifications. Maintenance includes fortnightly cleaning and repair to guarantee optimal performance over the contract period.
Bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) under categories EE11 (VV) and C6, and hold active FBR tax registrations. Compliance with PEC and FBR requirements for the 2025-26 financial year is essential. Earnest money of 2% of the estimated cost is required via pay order from a scheduled bank. The tender follows a single stage two envelope procedure with technical and financial bids submitted electronically via EPADS.
The submission deadline is set for 10th March 2026 at 11:30 am, with technical bids opening at 12:00 pm the same day. Bids must be submitted online; manual submissions are not accepted. The physical address for bid opening is Karachi Export Processing Zone, Landhi Industrial Area Extension, Mehran Highway, Karachi.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your technical proposal strictly avoids any price references to prevent disqualification. Also, verify your PEC category and FBR status carefully before submission to avoid common pitfalls that lead to rejection.
