Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the maintenance and repair of a 2.20 km stretch of the Indus Highway from Bubak Sabeel to Railway Station Phattak in Jamshoro, Sindh. The Provincial Highway Division Jamshoro, Government of Sindh, requires experienced contractors licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council to undertake this road rehabilitation project under a National Competitive Bidding procedure.
The scope includes earthworks, laying brick edging, base course preparation with stone metal, two coats of surface dressing with bitumen, and a 2-inch thick asphalt concrete wearing course. Additional works include pavement marking, installation of traffic signs, kilometer posts, and construction of two new 3-foot span box culverts along with repair of a 1-meter span culvert. The project demands careful handling of materials such as bitumen and asphalt, and adherence to engineering standards to ensure durability and safety on this vital highway segment.
Bidders must hold valid PEC registration in the relevant category and maintain active registration with FBR and SRB. Financial capacity should demonstrate a turnover not less than the project cost over the last three years, with experience in similar works. Compliance with the 2025-26 fiscal year requirements, including submission of bid security at 5% of the bid price and adherence to the Integrity Pact, is mandatory.
The submission deadline is set for 10:30 AM on 16th April 2026, with technical bids opening at 11:00 AM the same day at the office of the Executive Engineer, Provincial Highway Division Jamshoro, located opposite Irrigation Workshop near NADRA Office, Main Road Kotri. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes; no physical bids will be accepted after the deadline.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your bid includes a valid Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) for the bid security and double-check the newspaper advertisement for any specific stamp duty requirements, which are often overlooked but critical for bid acceptance.
