Tender Document
Tender Description
The National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) is procuring 3 Next Generation Network (NGN) Core Routers, model Juniper MX-480, to be installed at its sites in Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi. This procurement aims to upgrade the existing 1+0 configuration to a high availability 1+1 configuration, ensuring enhanced network reliability and performance across these major cities.
The scope includes supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the routers on a turnkey Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) site basis. The contractor will provide all necessary hardware, software, power cabling, installation materials, and engineering services including configuration, migration, integration, and support. The bidder must also ensure compatibility with existing equipment, provide documentation, and maintain the earth connection with required electrical standards.
Eligibility criteria require firms to be registered with Income Tax and Sales Tax departments, authorized by the OEM, and have experience with at least three similar Juniper MX-480 installations in Pakistan. A Juniper Certified Engineer must be on staff, and the firm should have an average annual turnover of PKR 200 million over the last three years. The bidder must also provide an undertaking on judicial paper regarding blacklisting and ownership links.
The tender documents are available on the EPADS platform. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS by 1100 hours on June 17, 2026. The original bid security of PKR 2,500,000 must reach the NTC office in Islamabad before the deadline. Manual or late submissions will not be accepted.
A practical tip for bidders is to conduct a thorough site survey before submission to ensure full compliance with technical requirements and to prepare a detailed Bill of Quantity as per Annex-A. This will help avoid disqualification due to non-compliance or incomplete documentation. The submission deadline and earnest money requirements are strictly enforced by NTC.
