Tender Description
This tender invites contractors in Gwadar to pre-qualify for various electrical and building/road works under the Military Engineering Services. The scope includes miscellaneous electrical/mechanical works and building/road supply items, each with a completion period of three months. The works are located within the Gwadar Cantonment area, requiring contractors to manage site-specific challenges such as logistics and local material sourcing.
Contractors must be enlisted with MES in Category 'E' or above, or provide earnest money of Rs. 150,000 if not enlisted. The tender process demands submission of two sealed envelopes: one for the priced tender and another for priced BQs. Contractors must also be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council to qualify for tender documents. The tender follows MES Schedule of Rates 2021, ensuring standardized pricing and quality benchmarks.
Applicants should ensure their PEC registration is current and valid for the 2025-26 financial year. Compliance with FBR/ATL requirements is essential to avoid disqualification. Firms not on the approved MES list must submit detailed work history for the last two years, including progress percentages, to demonstrate capability and reliability.
The submission deadline is set for 23 February 2026 at 11:30 AM, with bid opening at 12:00 PM the same day at the office of GE (Const) Gwadar. Interested contractors should prepare their documents carefully and deliver them in sealed envelopes to the specified office address.
Pro-Tip: Make sure to check the newspaper advertisement for specific Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) and Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) requirements, as these are often overlooked but critical for bid acceptance.
