Tender Description
The Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the procurement of 100KVA Transformers under contract reference P85678 for the financial year 2026-27. The procurement is planned for delivery at MEPCO regional stores located in Multan, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, and D.G. Khan. Items being procured:
- 100KVA Transformer (Quantity: 20 units) as per NTDC specification DDS-84:2020 (Amended to date), inclusive of all taxes, duties, 0.5% inspection charges, and GST.
The transformers must conform strictly to the technical specifications and standards set by WAPDA/PEPCO/NTDC. Inspection will be conducted at the supplier's premises by authorized representatives, including MEPCO and Chief Engineer (M.I) PEPCO Lahore. Up to 5% of transformers from each consignment will be randomly selected for testing at EHV Lab Rawat, with transportation costs borne by the supplier. Failure in tests will result in rejection of the entire lot.
Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration, FBR active taxpayer status, satisfactory supply record with MEPCO/DISCOs, and no blacklisting by WAPDA or related entities. Bidders must submit bid security in the form of Pay Order, Banker's Cheque, Call at Deposit, or Bank Guarantee. Performance security of 5% of contract price is required upon award.
Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS v2.0 by 22nd September 2026 at 11:30 AM, with bid opening on the same day at 12:00 PM. Manual submissions will not be accepted. Bidders are advised to register on EPADS v2.0 and ensure compliance with all bidding instructions. The procurement will follow Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) methodology. One practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of original bid security physically at MEPCO Complex, Wapda Colony, Khanewal Road, Multan before the deadline to avoid disqualification.
