Tender Description
The District Headquarters Hospital Matiari, Sindh, is inviting bids for the procurement of Drugs and Medicines under a 15% Local Purchase allocation for the Financial Year 2026-27. This procurement is managed by the Medical Superintendent's office in Matiari and targets licensed pharmacies, medical stores, and distributors within a 30-40 km radius to ensure timely delivery.
Items being procured:
- Drugs & Medicines (15% Local Purchase allocation)
- Registered Drugs / Medicines as per Group A (National/Multinational)
- Surgical Disposables & Consumables as per Group B
- Life Saving Drugs / Anti-Snake Venom / Anti-Rabies as per Group C
- IV Fluids & Dialysis Items as per Group D
The technical scope requires all medicines to be DRAP registered, genuine, in original packaging, and with at least 80% remaining shelf life at delivery. Cold chain maintenance is mandatory for vaccines and insulin. Emergency supply capability within 1-2 hours is essential. The contract is valid for the entire financial year 2026-27, with purchases made daily through LP slips or emergency indents authorized by the Medical Superintendent.
Eligibility criteria include valid Drug Sale License Category A or B, registration with FBR and SRB where applicable, active taxpayer status on ATL, experience supplying government hospitals, financial soundness, and availability of temperature-controlled storage. Bidders must submit a bid security of 2.5% of the bid value and a non-refundable tender fee of Rs. 3,000. The bid validity period is 90 days.
The tender submission deadline is 21-08-2026 at 2:30 PM, with bid opening at 3:00 PM the same day. Bids must be sealed and delivered to the Medical Superintendent's office at DHQ Hospital Matiari. Late submissions will be rejected. The procurement follows Sindh Public Procurement Rules 2010 (amended).
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure your Drug Sale License and ATL status are current and that you maintain proper cold chain logistics, as failure to meet quality or delivery timelines will result in penalties and possible contract termination. Timely emergency supply readiness can significantly enhance your bid evaluation score.
