Procurement of Halon Gas for Heavy Industries Taxila

Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) invites sealed bids from eligible manufacturers, authorized dealers, distributors, suppliers, or firms for the procurement of Halon Gas. This procurement is specifically for the Supply Chain Management Directorate at HIT Taxila Cantt, Punjab. Bidders must comply with PPRA and Ministry of Defence Production (MoDP) rules and submit their bids by the deadline of 19 October 2026 at 10:30 hours, with bid opening scheduled for the same day at 11:00 hours. Items being procured: - Halon Gas, Chemical Formula: CBrF3, Molecular Weight: 148.91 g/mol, Purity: Minimum 99.6% (mol/mol), Acidity: Maximum 3 ppm by mass (as HBR), Water Content: Maximum 10 ppm by mass, Non-Volatile Residue: Maximum 0.05%, Appearance/Odor: Colorless gas, Boiling Point: -57.75 °C, Freezing/Metaling Point: -167.78 °C, Vapor Pressure: 1434 kPa (at 20 °C), Vapor Density: 5.2 (Air=1), Non-flammable, Quantity: 1000 Kg, Delivery Period: 6 months after signing of contract. The technical scope includes supply of brand new Halon Gas conforming to the specified purity and physical properties. Interested bidders may visit the concerned project for clarification/specification on any working day before the bid submission date. Eligibility criteria require valid NTN, Sales Tax Registration, and compliance with DPP&I-35 and HIT regulations. Firms must submit a postal order of Rs 2000/- with the technical bid and provide bid security as per instructions. Evaluation will be based on technical and financial criteria with a validity period of 180 days extendable to 90 days. Bids must be submitted in two separate envelopes (Technical and Financial Proposals) sealed and marked accordingly, and dropped in the tender box at Gate No 5, Heavy Industries Taxila.
