Tender Description
The Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Company (WAPDA) based in Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, is procuring spare CO2 cylinders specifically for generators. This procurement is planned under the financial year 2026-27 and aims to ensure uninterrupted power generation by maintaining essential backup equipment. The scope includes supply of high-quality CO2 cylinders compatible with existing generator systems at the hydropower facility. Bidders must be registered with FBR and listed on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). Experience in supplying industrial gas cylinders or related equipment is highly desirable to meet technical and safety standards. The procurement follows a Single Stage-One Envelope procedure using Least Cost Based Selection (LCBS) as per Public Procurement Rules, 2004. All bids must be submitted electronically via the EPADS v2.0 platform by Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with bid opening scheduled at 2:30 PM the same day. Manual submissions will not be accepted. Earnest Money or Bid Security must be furnished as specified in the bidding documents, typically in the form of a Pay Order, Banker's Cheque, Call Deposit, or Demand Draft. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely registration on EPADS v2.0 well before the deadline and to carefully review the bid security requirements to avoid disqualification. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for suppliers specializing in industrial gases to engage with a major hydropower entity in the region.
