Tender Description
The National Information Technology Board (NITB), Islamabad, is procuring a comprehensive range of IT equipment and licenses renewal to support its mandate of coordinating e-government initiatives across Federal Ministries and Departments. This procurement covers multiple lots including laptops, desktops, tablets, printers, scanners, networking equipment, video conferencing tools, biometric devices, software licenses, and UPS repair and replacement. The scope includes supply, installation, commissioning, configuration, integration, and testing of the equipment along with after-sale support, warranty, and training where applicable.
The technical scope is extensive, requiring high-specification hardware such as Intel Core Ultra 7 laptops, Xeon workstations for animators, smart tablets with GSM and Wi-Fi, laser and color printers, ADF scanners, LAN switches, video conferencing systems with 4K cameras, biometric authentication devices, and software license renewals for security and firewall solutions. All equipment must be new, branded, and verifiable through OEM serial numbers. Warranty periods vary, with a mandatory three-year onsite support and maintenance for most items.
Eligibility criteria are strict, requiring bidders to be registered entities in Pakistan with valid FBR registration and ATL status, PEC category compliance where applicable, and a history of similar work orders. Bidders must provide earnest money in the form of CDRs for each lot and submit technical and financial bids separately through the EPADS system. The technical bid must include detailed company profiles, product datasheets, and proof of partnership with OEMs.
The tender was published on 16th May 2026, with a submission deadline of 1st June 2026 at 11:00 AM. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 21st May 2026 at 11:00 AM at NITB premises. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS, with original bid securities delivered physically to NITB. Late submissions will not be accepted.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure that all required documents, including the original bid security and signed RFP documents, are submitted timely and in the correct format. Attention to detail in compliance with the eligibility and technical criteria will significantly improve chances of qualification. Also, bidders should prepare for the mandatory onsite support and warranty obligations post-award, as failure to comply may result in penalties or contract termination.
