Tender Description
The Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority Punjab is inviting bids for the renovation and repair works at the Government Weaving and Finishing Institute located in Shahdara, Lahore. This procurement focuses on civil and structural works including general building maintenance and refurbishment to improve the institute’s facilities.
The scope of work includes comprehensive repair and renovation of the institute’s premises. This involves structural repairs, plastering, painting, and other civil works necessary to restore the building to a functional and safe condition. The project requires contractors with relevant PEC categories for civil works and experience in similar institutional building projects.
Interested bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and appear on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). They should also have a proven track record of successfully completing similar works within the last financial years. Earnest Money in the form of a CDR amounting to PKR 2000 must be submitted along with the technical bid. The CDR should be valid and properly documented as per the tender requirements.
The tender documents can be obtained from the institute’s office between 08:00 AM and 03:00 PM until the closing date. The last date for submission of bids is 21st January 2026 by 03:00 PM, with technical bids opening on the same day at 11:00 AM. Bidders should ensure timely submission to avoid disqualification.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully prepare the CDR and ensure it meets all specified conditions, including proper stamping and validity. Any discrepancies in the earnest money documentation can lead to rejection of the bid. Attention to detail in the technical bid will enhance the chances of success in this competitive tender.
