Tender Description
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department is procuring comprehensive repair and maintenance services for the Old D.G Office Building along with the surrounding road and footpath in Karachi. This project involves extensive civil works including dismantling of iron works, cement block masonry, cement concrete, glazed tiles, and plaster removal. The scope also covers structural repairs such as reinforced cement concrete, steel reinforcement fabrication, and masonry wall construction. Additionally, the project includes waterproofing, termite treatment, and installation of doors, windows, aluminum channels, and plumbing fixtures.
The technical scope extends to road works including dismantling of asphalt concrete, scarifying existing road surfaces, laying aggregate base course, asphalt concrete wearing course, and fixing precast edge blocks and cement paving blocks. Electrical and mechanical works such as fixing AC units, lighting, and plumbing with GI pipes and valves are also part of the contract. The project is based in Karachi and managed by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Engineering Department.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in relevant categories, possess valid NTN and SRB registrations, and have proven experience in similar government sector projects. The contractor must have the required machinery and qualified technical staff including project managers and site engineers. Bid security of Rs. 3,485,288 is mandatory along with submission of an Integrity Pact on stamp paper. The bid validity period is 90 days.
The submission deadline is **16-06-2026 by 11:00 AM** through the SPPRA e-Procurement system (EPADS). Bids must be submitted online only; manual submissions will not be accepted. The bid opening will be conducted online on the same day at 11:30 AM. The bid must be quoted in both figures and words, rounded to the nearest rupee, and accompanied by the required earnest money and tender cost.
