Tender Description
The Military Engineer Services (MES) invites applications for pre-qualification and tender submissions for various repair, renovation, roof treatment, and supply works at GE (Army) I Malir Cantt, Karachi. This tender covers a wide range of civil and maintenance works including roof treatment of miscellaneous buildings, decoration works, electrical and mechanical repairs, water supply and Sui gas works, and supply of bazar materials for electrical and building & roads items. The scope also includes minor and maintenance works for different divisions and repair of offices, JCOs, and soldiers accommodation.
Eligible contractors must be enlisted with MES in categories A, B, C, D, or E. Firms not on the approved MES list must provide detailed statements of previous experience for the last two years, including work executed, amount, time allowed, and progress. Registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) is mandatory for issuance of tender documents. The tender documents can be obtained from the concerned MES office on any working day.
The tender submission deadline is 20 May 2026 by 1150 hours, with the opening at 1200 hours on the same day. Interested bidders should ensure their Technical and Financial Bids comply with MES requirements and include Earnest Money or CDR as specified. The tender is managed under the financial year 2026 and all submissions must be timely to avoid disqualification.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully review the detailed scope of works and ensure all required documentation, including PEC registration and FBR/ATL status, is complete and up to date. Early submission is advised to avoid last-minute issues, especially given the strict deadline and the importance of technical compliance for this MES tender.
