Tender Description
The Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) through its Resident Engineer at Jinnah Hydel Power Station in Kalabagh, Punjab, invites qualified contractors for the repair of damaged rotor poles at the JHPS site. This procurement is specifically for the restoration and refurbishment of rotor poles, a critical component ensuring the operational efficiency of the hydel power station. The scope includes the repair works on-site at JHPS, requiring specialized mechanical expertise and adherence to WAPDA's technical standards.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments and appear on the Active Tax Payers List (ATL) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Contractors should possess relevant PEC categories and demonstrate prior experience in similar mechanical repair works for power generation equipment. The tender follows a Single Stage One Envelope procedure, emphasizing the submission of both technical and financial bids simultaneously.
Bidders are required to submit their electronic bids via the EPADS platform by 02 July 2026 at 10:30 AM. The bids will be opened the same day at 11:00 AM in the Conference Room of the Resident Engineer's office at JHPS, Kalabagh. A Bid Security in the form of a CDR amounting to PKR 150,000 must be furnished, with the original CDR and a copy of the bidding document submitted to the Resident Engineer's office before the closing time.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure the CDR is correctly issued in favor of the Resident Engineer JHPS Kalabagh and that the firm's name is clearly mentioned on the CDR. This avoids disqualification due to incomplete bid security documentation. Timely electronic submission and compliance with all technical requirements will enhance the chances of successful participation in this important repair contract.
