Tender Document
Tender Description
Pakistan Railways, a Federal Government Department, is procuring specialized repair services for power assembly components of Cummins KTA 19 engines at its Divisional Superintendent Workshops in Moghalpura, Lahore. This procurement focuses on critical engine parts including crank shaft grinding, engine block main line setting, cam shaft repairing, cam shaft bush fitting, con rod bush fitting, con rod straightness, and crankshaft seal rebuild. The scope involves technical repair work on 10 sets of these components, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability of railway engines.
Bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue and active taxpayers. Experience in mechanical repair services, particularly with Cummins engines or similar heavy machinery, is essential. PEC registration in the relevant mechanical or workshop services category will be advantageous. The tender follows the Single Stage-One Envelope procedure under Public Procurement Rules 2004.
The tender was published in May 2026, with the closing date set firmly on 10th June 2026 at 10:30 AM. Bids must be submitted physically in the tender box at the Divisional Superintendent Workshops Moghalpura and uploaded on the E-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (EPADS) portal. The technical and financial bids should be prepared carefully, with earnest money or CDR as required. The bid opening will occur on the same day at 11:00 AM.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission on EPADS and physical delivery before the deadline, as late bids will not be entertained. Also, carefully review the detailed terms and conditions available on the official e-procure website to avoid disqualification. This tender offers a valuable opportunity for qualified mechanical service providers to engage with Pakistan Railways and contribute to maintaining critical railway infrastructure.
