Tender Description
This tender invites bids from registered firms for procurement of research lab equipment, solar powered pumping system with backup, office equipment, and office furniture at PARC-WAWMI Tandojam under the ALP project for financial year 2025-26. The procurement covers advanced scientific instruments including automatic weather stations, GPS devices, soil sampling kits, water level indicators, and soil moisture sensors. Additionally, a solar powered pumping system with a 4.6 KW solar panel array and backup hybrid inverter is required to support office power needs. Office equipment includes laptops, desktop computers, and printers, while furniture items range from executive chairs and tables to office almirahs and staff chairs, all designed for durability and ergonomic comfort.
The project is executed at the PARC-Water & Agricultural Waste Management Institute in Tandojam, Sindh. The solar pumping system installation involves high-grade solar panels, monoblock pumps, and robust electrical components, ensuring reliable irrigation support. The office backup system supports multiple PCs and lighting, critical for uninterrupted research activities. The furniture specifications emphasize quality materials such as Sheesham wood veneer and cold-rolled steel with anti-rust finishes, suitable for a professional research environment.
Bidders must be registered with GST, Income Tax, and PPRA E-PADS, and firms applying for the solar system must hold valid AEDB registration. Compliance with PEC categories and active taxpayer status (ATL) for 2025-26 is essential. The tender requires a bid security of PKR 80,000 in the form of a bank draft or pay order. Warranty and after-sales service for at least one year are mandatory. Firms should ensure all documentation including NTN, GST certificates, and financial statements are complete to avoid disqualification.
Submission deadline is set for 11:00 AM on **12 March 2026**, with bid opening at 11:30 AM the same day via the E-PADS portal. Bids must be submitted electronically through the official portal. The physical address for correspondence is the Superintendent (Procurement), PARC-Southern Zone Agricultural Research Centre, Old Block 9&10, Karachi University Campus, Karachi.
Pro-Tip: Carefully review the bid security requirements and ensure the bank draft is correctly addressed to the Director General, Southern Zone Agricultural Research Centre. Missing or incorrect bid security is a common reason for rejection. Also, verify AEDB registration validity if applying for solar powered systems to avoid disqualification.
