Tender Description
The National Highway Authority (NHA) invites experienced and eligible contractors to undertake critical restoration works on flood-damaged infrastructure in Punjab, specifically the guide banks of Baba Farid Bridge on River Sutlej in Pakpattan and the left guide bank and apron of Head Muhammad Wala Bridge over River Chenab in Muzaffargarh. These projects involve substantial civil works including restoration and completion of balance works on river guide banks and bridge aprons, requiring specialized expertise in heavy civil engineering and riverbank protection.
Contractors must hold valid PEC registration in the specified categories (C-2 for Baba Farid Bridge and C-4 for Head Muhammad Wala Bridge) with relevant specialization codes CE-01, CE-02, and CE-10. Firms must also be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and appear on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). The procurement follows a Single Stage - Two Envelope procedure, emphasizing the importance of submitting both technical and financial bids separately.
Bidding documents are available for free download from 20th April 2026 on the official e-bidding portal. The deadline for bid submission is 6th May 2026 at 11:00 AM, with technical bids opening at 11:30 AM the same day. Submissions must be made electronically via the designated e-procurement system, as manual bids will no longer be accepted.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely EPADS registration on the PPRA e-procurement platform to avoid disqualification. Additionally, careful attention to the technical bid requirements and earnest money deposit (CDR) conditions will enhance the chances of success in this competitive tender. The projects represent a significant opportunity for contractors specializing in flood restoration and river infrastructure within Punjab province.
