Tender Description
The Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) is procuring specialized services for soil investigation including complete test reports for different proposed 132KV transmission lines. This project is based in Gujranwala and will span over the next two years, focusing on detailed geotechnical analysis essential for the safe and efficient construction of transmission infrastructure.
The technical scope requires firms to conduct comprehensive soil testing and provide detailed reports for the proposed transmission lines. The work involves field investigation, laboratory testing, and preparation of technical documentation to support the design and construction phases. The tender demands firms with at least five years of relevant experience in soil investigation for high voltage transmission lines, supported by satisfactory job completion certificates for a minimum of five similar projects.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for the current fiscal year 2025-26 in the relevant category. Additionally, registration with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for income tax and the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) for PST is mandatory. Joint ventures are allowed but require submission of performance security and a notarized agreement.
The earnest money required is Rs. 0.8 million in the form of Pay Order, CDR, Bank Draft, or Bankers Cheque valid for 120 days. The successful bidder must also submit Rs. 0.1 million as performance security after issuance of the Letter of Intent. Tender documents must be submitted through the E-Pads new version 2.0 platform by 15th June 2024 at 11:00 AM, with bid opening scheduled the same day at 11:30 AM.
