Tender Description
This tender invites bids for the supply and installation of a 200 kW solar power system at Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology (QUEST) in Nawabshah, Sindh. The procurement falls under the Power, Electrical & Solar Equipment category and is managed by the university's procurement office. The project aims to enhance energy sustainability on campus by installing high-quality photovoltaic modules, inverters, and associated electrical components.
The scope includes delivery and installation of 580 solar panels of 345 watts each, four 50 kW on-grid inverters, galvanized steel or aluminum mounting structures, cabling, and installation services. Additional items include solar fans and LED lighting solutions to complement the solar system. The site is located at QUEST Nawabshah, and bidders must consider local environmental and logistical factors during installation.
Bidders must comply with PEC registration requirements and provide valid NTN, SRB, and tax documentation. The tender requires a 5% bid security in the form of a demand draft or pay order. The bid validity period is 90 days, and bidders must have a minimum of five years' experience in relevant solar projects. Technical evaluation includes assessment of past solar power projects, financial turnover, and qualified engineering personnel. The contract will be awarded on a least-cost basis to technically qualified bidders.
Submission deadline is set for 24th April 2026 at 10:30 AM via the SPPRA E-PADS online portal, with bid opening at 11:00 AM the same day at the university's conference hall. Tender documents are available for download from the QUEST website and SPPRA portal. Bidders should ensure compliance with all terms, including submission of tender fees and bid security. The procurement manager's office at QUEST Nawabshah is the point of contact for clarifications.
Pro-Tip: Ensure your bid includes all mandatory documents such as manufacturer authorization for Tier-1 solar panels and inverters, and affidavits confirming non-blacklisting and original equipment supply. Missing or incomplete documentation is a common cause for disqualification. Also, carefully review the bid security requirements and submit it in the correct form to avoid rejection.
