Tender Description
The National Logistics Corporation (NLC) is procuring automotive lead acid and dry batteries for vehicles used across multiple cities including Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Lahore. This procurement is specifically for the supply of brand new batteries on a FOR basis, covering models such as ISUZU CYZ 390, Hino FM 2P, ISUZU FVR, Sitrak 7H390, Shacman, and North Benz. The total quantity required is 1,500 batteries distributed among the cities with the largest share for Karachi. The technical scope requires bidders to provide complete technical printed details and original brochures from the manufacturer, ensuring all parts are brand new and conform to the specifications outlined by NLC. The procurement will be conducted under a closed framework agreement valid for one year, with prices quoted to remain firm for this period. Only OEMs or authorized dealers with local production facilities in Pakistan are eligible to participate. Bidders must be registered with FBR and appear on the Active Taxpayer List (ATL). The tender requires submission of a technical bid including Earnest Money in the form of a bid security of Rs 1,000,000 and a tender fee of Rs 2,000. Delivery is expected within 15 working days of demand placement. The submission deadline and address are specified in the tender notice, with tenders to be delivered to HQ NLC Harding Road near AFIRM Rawalpindi by hand or post. A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all technical documentation is complete and original, as incomplete or photocopied brochures will lead to disqualification. Also, timely submission before the deadline is critical as late bids will not be entertained. This tender offers a significant opportunity for suppliers specializing in automotive batteries to engage with a reputable government entity and secure a framework contract for continuous supply throughout the financial year.
