Tender Description
Pakistan Railways Central Diesel Locomotive Workshop Rawalpindi is procuring B-Pinion (Bevel Gear Box) components essential for locomotive maintenance and repair. This procurement is critical for ensuring the operational efficiency of diesel locomotives managed at the Rawalpindi workshop.
Items being procured:
- B-Pinion (Bevel Gear Box) (05 Nos.)
The technical scope involves supplying brand new B-Pinion units conforming strictly to Pakistan Railways specifications. The delivery location is the Central Diesel Locomotive Workshop in Rawalpindi. The procurement requires firms to submit samples along with their tenders for technical evaluation. Only pre-qualified and technically approved firms will be eligible to participate.
Eligibility criteria include valid PEC registration, FBR/ATL registration, and proven experience in supplying similar mechanical parts. Bidders must provide 2% earnest money in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) along with the technical bid. The delivery period must not exceed 45 days from the date of issuance of the purchase order.
The tender follows a single stage – two envelope procedure, where technical proposals are evaluated first, followed by financial proposals of technically qualified bidders. The bid validity period is 60 days from the tender opening date. Payment will be made in Pakistani Rupees after inspection and acceptance of the supplied goods.
The submission deadline is strictly 7 days after the tender opening date, which will be communicated later. Bidders should ensure unconditional offers with realistic pricing based on current market rates. Alternate offers against any item will be rejected outright.
A practical tip for bidders: Ensure your technical proposal includes all required documents, especially the earnest money CDR and sample submission, as non-compliance will lead to disqualification. Strict adherence to delivery timelines is crucial as delays may result in contract termination and forfeiture of security deposits.
