Tender Description
The National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) Islamabad is procuring battery banks specifically for its MSAG sites located in Islamabad and Rawalpindi Directorates. This procurement involves the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of Lithium-ion battery banks with a nominal capacity of 48V/100AH, including all necessary accessories such as battery to rectifier connection cables, jointing materials, and power lugs. The battery banks must be of reputed brands like Sacred Sun, Vision, Westwoods, Leoch, NEATA, SAGA, OSAKA or equivalent, with manufacturing dates not older than six months at delivery.
The technical scope requires compliance with detailed specifications including battery chemistry (LiFePO4), cycle life, operating temperature, battery management system integration, and safety certifications such as UL 1973, IEC 62133, and CE. The batteries must support local and remote monitoring, integration with Huawei rectifiers, and have a minimum expected design life of 8 years at 25°C. Installation and commissioning must be completed within 8 weeks from contract signing.
Eligible bidders must be registered with Pakistan's income tax and sales tax departments, maintain a backup support office in Islamabad, and have no blacklisting or litigation history with government organizations. Experience of supplying similar telecom equipment worth over PKR 2 million to NTC, PTCL, SCO, or other telecom organizations is mandatory. Bidders must submit documentary proof of eligibility criteria, previous supply records, and an affidavit confirming no business relations or manufacturing links with Israel or India.
The tender was published on 16th April 2026, with a submission deadline of 6th May 2026 at 10:30 AM via the PPRA EPADS website only. Bids must be submitted in a single stage single envelope format including technical and financial proposals. Earnest money of PKR 250,000 in the form of Call Deposit Receipt or Bank Guarantee is required. The bid opening will be held on the same day at 11:00 AM at NTC Regional Office Islamabad.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure strict compliance with the technical specifications and submit all required documents duly signed and sealed. Any deviation or incomplete documentation may lead to disqualification. Also, bidders should carefully prepare their bids on the EPADS portal well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues. Ensuring a valid tender security and timely submission will enhance chances of successful evaluation and award by the **National Telecommunication Corporation**.
