Tender Description
The Military Lands and Cantonments Department through Walton Cantonment Board Lahore is procuring medicines for the Cantonment General Hospital located in Lahore. This procurement targets original manufacturers, authorized distributors, suppliers, and contractors registered with Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments. The medicines must be supplied with the maximum discount on retail price as per the terms outlined by the Cantonment Board.
The technical scope includes supplying medicines of standard quality and prescribed brands with sufficient remaining expiry shelf life. The supplier must ensure that no smuggled or unregistered medicines with the Ministry of Health are stocked or supplied. The contract requires the approved contractor to execute the agreement on non-judicial stamp paper within fifteen days of approval. The supplier is also responsible for submitting bills to the Cantonment Executive Officer for payment upon demand.
Eligibility criteria include valid Central Drug Sale License (CDSL), active taxpayer status on the Federal Board of Revenue list, and registration with Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments. Bidders must submit a 2% bid security in the form of a call deposit before the closing date. The tender will be issued only to firms meeting these requirements, and all government taxes will be deducted as per prevailing policy.
The submission deadline is strictly 20-07-2026 at 1200 hrs via the E-PADS portal of PPRA. Bids will be opened electronically the same day at 1400 hrs. No hard copies will be accepted. The Cantonment Board reserves the right to reject any tender and demand analysis of quoted rates for reasonableness.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure their bid security is submitted in original form by hand or courier before the deadline, as failure to do so will result in disqualification. Also, carefully check the expiry dates and registration status of medicines to avoid punitive action or contract termination.
