Tender Description
The Pakistan Navy Local Purchase Division in Karachi is procuring a wide range of naval equipment and materials. This procurement includes items such as kail wood sleepers, electrical power cables, fibrous ropes, medium density fiber boards in various colors and sizes, aluminum sheets, wood ply sheets, military fabric, safety goggles, brass ingots, aluminum alloy angles, marine round sisal, gloves, paint brushes, insulation tapes, packing gland materials, hemp for furnace fuel, cloth polishing materials, insulation sleeves, hangar doors, soldering iron, and other specialized naval supplies.
The technical scope covers locally available and imported items with delivery times of 15 days for local and 45 days for imported goods. Specifications include detailed dimensions, material grades, and certifications such as Lloyd's test certificates for ropes and compliance with ISO standards. The items are intended for use in naval ships and related facilities, ensuring quality and durability for military applications.
Eligible bidders should be registered firms or willing to register with the Pakistan Navy HQ COMLOG to avoid payment of bank guarantees. Firms must provide earnest money in the form of a bank draft or pay order and submit a bid security of 5% of the purchase order value if unregistered. Experience in supplying similar naval or defense-related goods and valid FBR/ATL registration is recommended to meet eligibility criteria.
The tender opening date is fixed for 24-06-2026, and submissions should be made to the Local Purchase Division, Pakistan Navy, Karachi. Contact details include phone numbers 021-48508524, 48508828, and email addresses clp@paknavy.gov.pk and localpurchasedivision@gmail.com. WhatsApp inquiries can be sent to 92-322-0188121 (message only).
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all technical specifications and certifications are clearly documented and attached with the bid, especially for imported items requiring test certificates. This will help avoid disqualification during the technical evaluation phase and improve chances of contract award.
