Tender Description
The Pakistan Navy is inviting quotations for the supply of nylon hawserlaid rope as per Defence specifications for export to Pakistan. This procurement is managed by the Attaché Defence Procurement office at the High Commission for Pakistan in London. The tender calls for 765 meters of 5-inch diameter, 3-strand nylon rope, manufactured to ISO standards with OEM conformity certificates and test reports including LLOYD's test certificates. The ropes must be brand new, fully serviceable, and comply with strict quality and environmental standards suitable for use in maritime conditions such as Karachi and the Arabian Sea.
Bidders must prepare separate offers for each item and submit sealed tenders by 9th June 2026 before 1130 hours. The technical bid should include OEM certificates, calibration certificates, and compliance with ISO 9554 and 2307 testing standards. The tender emphasizes the importance of export licenses and delivery schedules, with payment terms arranged through ADP London. A performance bank guarantee of 5-10% of the offer value is required. The tender is open to firms supplying directly from OEM or authorized dealers with documentary proof.
Eligibility requires firms to demonstrate compliance with Defence procurement standards, provide manufacturer test certificates, and ensure timely delivery. The tender does not specify PEC categories or estimated cost but expects firms to be registered with FBR and have relevant export experience. The submission address is the Attaché Defence Procurement office in London.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure all OEM and calibration certificates are complete and clearly referenced in the technical bid to avoid disqualification. Also, confirm export license arrangements early to prevent delays. Strict adherence to submission deadlines and tender instructions is critical for success in this international procurement.
