Tender Description
The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Islamabad is procuring a comprehensive range of surgical and disposable medical items for the financial year 2026-27. This procurement covers a wide variety of essential medical consumables including disposable syringes of various sizes, cannulas, butterfly needles, spinal needles, surgical blades, endotracheal tubes, suction catheters, surgical dressings, gloves, and many other critical surgical accessories and disposables.
The scope of this tender is extensive, involving numerous items such as auto-disable syringes, I/V infusion sets, biopsy needles, surgical staplers, harmonic scalpel accessories, and specialized urology and nephrology disposables. The procurement aims to ensure uninterrupted supply of high-quality medical consumables to support surgical and clinical operations at PIMS Islamabad.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and appear on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL). Experience in supplying medical and surgical disposables to reputable healthcare institutions is essential. Suppliers should also be able to provide samples for quality verification as specified in the tender documents. Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) and Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) requirements will be detailed in the tender documents.
The submission deadline is strictly enforced, with bids to be submitted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences procurement office in Islamabad. Interested suppliers should carefully prepare their Technical and Financial Bids in accordance with the tender instructions. It is advisable to review all specifications and sample requirements thoroughly to avoid disqualification.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure timely submission of complete documentation including valid registration certificates and sample items. Late or incomplete bids are typically rejected. Maintaining clear communication with the procurement office and attending any pre-bid meetings can also enhance the chances of success in this competitive tender.
