Tender Description
The Pakistan Maritime Museum in Karachi is inviting reputed firms to submit proposals for the uplift and renovation of the Bahria Auditorium on a turnkey basis. The scope of work includes renovation of public washrooms, executive washrooms, and miscellaneous works in the conference room, east lobby, and bridal room lawn A. This project requires comprehensive civil and sanitation works to enhance the facility's functionality and aesthetics.
Tender documents detailing the specifications and scope can be obtained from the Booking Office of Bahria Auditorium during working hours from 0900 to 1500 hrs before the closing date. A non-refundable tender fee of Rs.10,000 is required to access these documents. The tender process mandates a two-envelope system, separating technical and financial proposals to ensure transparency and fairness.
Bidders must submit a refundable bid security in the form of a Bank Draft or Pay Order amounting to Rs.100,000 in favor of the Bahria Auditorium Expense Fund Account. Cheques will not be accepted. Quotations must remain valid for 90 days post tender opening. Proposals are to be submitted by 20th July 2026 at 1000 hrs, with opening scheduled the same day at 1100 hrs in the presence of firm representatives at the PMM Conference Room.
Interested contractors should ensure they meet all eligibility criteria including relevant PEC categories and valid FBR/ATL registration. Experience in similar renovation and civil works projects will be advantageous. One practical tip for bidders is to carefully prepare the technical bid with detailed cost estimates and ensure timely submission to avoid disqualification.
