Annual Repair, Maintenance, Overhauling, Rewinding and Other Electrical & Mechanical Works and M.S Pipe, Sluice / Reflex Valves & Other Accessories at Water Pumping Stations under Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation

Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation invites bids for the annual repair, maintenance, overhauling, rewinding and other electrical and mechanical works including M.S pipe, sluice/reflex valves and other accessories at various water pumping stations under different towns of Karachi including New Karachi Town, North Nazimabad Town, Nazimabad Town, and Gulberg Town within District Central. The scope covers comprehensive electrical and mechanical services such as rewinding of electric motors of various horsepower ratings (200 HP, 125 HP, 80 HP, 60 HP, 30 HP), providing and laying PVC insulated copper conductors of various sizes, fixing circuit breakers of different ampere ratings, overload relays, magnetic contractors, DP I/C change over switches, current transformers, street lights, timers, ammeters, voltmeters, manufacturing and supplying black steel M.S pipes with API 5L grade X-42 ERW, sluice valves, reflex valves, flanges, bends, and other related accessories. Items being procured: - Rewinding of Electric Motors (200 HP, 125 HP, 80 HP, 60 HP, 30 HP) - PVC insulated copper conductors (sizes 6mm2 to 240mm2) - Circuit breakers (various ampere ratings from 15 amp to 800 amp) - Overload relays (models FT. 300, FT. 85, FT. 65) - Magnetic contractors (FC-80N, FC-50N, FC125N, FC160N) - DP I/C change over switches (500 volts, 600amp, 500amp, 400amp) - Current transformers (4000/5amp, 3000/5amp) - Street lights 250 watts (HPMV) - Timers, ammeters, voltmeters - Manufacturing and supplying of black steel M.S pipes (6" to 24" diameter) - Sluice valves and reflex valves (various diameters) - Manufacturing of pump shafts, column shafts, stuffing boxes, couplings, sand guards, impellers, bearing sleeves, bushings, gland cups, and other pump accessories - Installation and commissioning of pumps, gantry cranes, pressure gauges, chain pulley blocks - Electrical panel manufacturing and rewiring - Loading, unloading and transportation services The works will be executed at all different water pumping stations under the jurisdiction of Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation in Karachi city. The contract duration is 360 days from the date of commencement. Bidders must have valid registration with Sindh Revenue Board (SRB), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on active Taxpayer List (TPL), Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Registration Certificate with relevant specialization, and GST Registration Certificate where applicable. Technical experience of at least five similar works completed in the last five years is mandatory. Bid security of 2% of estimated cost is required, with performance security and other deductions as per policy. Bidding documents can be downloaded from the EPADS portal (http://portalsindh.eprocurement.gov.pk). Bids must be submitted electronically on EPADS portal by 05-11-2026 at 02:00 PM. Physical submission of bid security in the form of pay order/demand draft/bank guarantee is required at the office of the Accounts Officer (Zone-II) / Secretary Maintenance Works, KW&SC, Room No. 12-A, First Floor, Block "C", 9th Mile Karsaz Shahrah-e-Faisal Karachi before bid opening. Bid opening will be held on the same day at 02:30 PM in presence of bidders or their authorized representatives. A practical tip for bidders: Ensure all required documents including PEC registration, FBR active taxpayer status, SRB registration, and past experience certificates are uploaded correctly on the EPADS portal to avoid disqualification during technical evaluation. Also, submit the bid security physically before the deadline to comply with tender requirements.
