Tender Description
NOTE: This is an AUCTION/LEASE notice, not a procurement tender. Bidders pay the department to acquire ownership, lease, rental, or collection rights.
Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Wah Cantt is conducting a public auction for various types of scrap materials. The auction will take place on 17 September 2026 from 10:00 to 16:00 hours at NSY, with reporting at Barrier No 1 in Taxila. Items being auctioned include steel scrap, cast iron scrap, steel swarf, plastic, aluminum swarf, unsvs plant and machinery, and other unserviceable stores on an "As is, Where is" basis.
The auction terms require successful bidders to pay 25% of the bid amount immediately at the spot, with the remaining 75% plus government taxes payable within 7 working days. Buyers must remove the sold lots at their own expense within 15 working days from the auction date. Failure to do so will incur a daily charge of 0.5% on the leftover scrap value. An entry fee of Rs. 2,000 per head (non-refundable) will be charged. Interested parties must present valid original CNICs at the respective gates/barriers from 08:30 to 10:00 hours on the auction date.
This auction offers an opportunity for bidders experienced in scrap handling and disposal to acquire diverse scrap materials from a reputable government entity. Bidders should prepare the required earnest money and ensure timely presence at the venue. The auction is managed by the Deputy Director Central Stores & CMC, POF Wah Cantt.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully inspect the scrap lots beforehand if possible and arrange logistics for prompt removal to avoid additional charges. Early arrival for registration is advised to secure participation.
