AUCTION: Sale of Scrap Materials from Pakistan Steel Yards No. 52, 04 and Scrap Shop-II

NOTE: This is an AUCTION/LEASE notice, not a procurement tender. Bidders pay the department to acquire ownership, lease, rental, or collection rights. Pakistan Steel is offering for sale scrap materials from its yards located in Bin Qasim, Karachi. The auction includes three distinct lots: Yard No. 52 containing Converter Slag with some Metal Inclusions sold on an 'As is where is' basis; Yard No. 04 consisting of Mixed Steel Scrap including scrapped Salb, Bloom, and Crane-Rail Pieces sold on an 'As is where is' and per ton basis; and Scrap Shop-II offering Blooms, Billet End Cuts, HR Sheet, Girders, etc., also on an 'As is where is' and per ton basis. Items being auctioned: - Yard No. 52: Converter Slag with some Metal Inclusions (45 Lots) - Yard No. 04: Mixed Steel Scrap containing Scrapped Salb/Bloom/Crane-Rail Pieces (Approx. 150 MT) - Scrap Shop-II: Blooms/Billet End Cuts, HR Sheet, Girders, etc. (Approx. 75 MT) Interested bidders must have valid Sales Tax Registration and NTN, both mandatory for participation and must be uploaded on the EPADS website. Bidders are required to physically inspect the materials within four working days (Monday to Thursday) from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm by contacting the Marketing Department officials at the provided cell numbers. Bids must be submitted electronically via EPADS before 14th October 2026 at 10:00 am, with opening at 10:30 am the same day. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bank Draft or Pay Order equivalent to 2% of the bid amount as Earnest Money in favor of Pakistan Steel Mills NTN#. The original earnest money instrument must be submitted to the Marketing Department before tender opening. Taxes including 10% income tax, 0.5% advance income tax, and 18% GST are payable separately by the successful bidder. The successful bidder must pay the full bid amount plus applicable taxes within 10 working days after the letter of acceptance. The contract must be signed within 10 days of intimation. Material lifting and loading, including transportation, are the responsibility of the bidder. Machinery use for lifting requires prior permission and must adhere to official timings and security protocols. Failure to lift material within the stipulated or extended period will incur floor charges and possible contract cancellation. The bid remains valid for 30 working days. Earnest money of unsuccessful bidders will be refunded within 15 working days after tender finalization. This auction provides a valuable opportunity for registered scrap dealers and industrial buyers to acquire quality scrap materials directly from Pakistan Steel.
