Tender Description
The Military Estates Office Lahore Circle is conducting an auction for the removal of 17 standing green Eucalyptus trees located at Ayub Sport Complex, Lahore. This auction is a unique opportunity for suppliers and contractors interested in forestry and landscaping materials within the Punjab region. The scope includes the removal of these trees at the bidder's own cost, ensuring no damage to government property. The successful bidder must also fill and level any holes or digging caused by tree removal. The auction will be held at the Military Estates Office, 42 Sarwar Road, 1st Floor Lahore Cantt Board Office, Lahore Cantt, starting at 11:00 hours on the scheduled date. If the auction cannot be held on the specified date due to unavoidable circumstances, it will be conducted the following day.
Interested bidders must deposit a CDR of Rs. 100,000 prior to participation as earnest money. The highest bidder is required to pay one-fourth of the bid amount immediately after the fall of the hammer, with the remaining balance payable within seven days after final approval by the competent authority. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of the deposited amount and re-auctioning of the trees. Additionally, the highest bidder must pay income tax, GST, and any other government-imposed taxes in advance.
Eligibility criteria include valid FBR registration and compliance with all auction terms and conditions as outlined by the Military Estates Office. Bidders should ensure timely submission and presence at the auction venue. The auction process is governed under Rule 33(1) of PPRA Rules 2004, allowing the department to reject any or all bids on technical or administrative grounds.
A practical tip for bidders is to carefully inspect the site and trees beforehand to assess removal logistics and costs. This will help in preparing a competitive bid and avoiding unexpected expenses. Also, ensure all required documents and CDR are ready before the auction date to avoid disqualification. This auction represents a valuable chance to acquire standing timber with clear terms and a transparent process under the supervision of the Military Estates Office Lahore Circle.
