Tender Description
The Pakistan High Commission in Ottawa is procuring comprehensive building insurance services for its Chancery and Embassy Residence including all contents. This procurement is crucial to ensure continuous coverage as the existing insurance policy expires on 30 June 2026. The scope of services includes coverage against fire, theft, natural disasters, accidental damage, vandalism, and other standard insured risks. The insurance must provide robust protection for both the buildings and their contents, reflecting the importance of safeguarding diplomatic premises abroad.
Eligible bidders must be legally registered insurance companies with the relevant authorization and a minimum of three years experience in providing similar insurance services. Compliance with FBR and ATL registration requirements is expected. The procurement will follow the Single Stage One Envelope method under open competitive bidding as per PPRA Rules-2004 (as amended). Bidders should prepare their Technical and Financial Bids carefully, ensuring all required documents including Earnest Money or CDR are submitted within the stipulated deadline.
The bid validity period is 90 days from the bid opening date, and the evaluation will be based on the lowest evaluated responsive bid meeting all technical requirements. Interested bidders should note the submission deadline is 30 June 2026 at 23:59:59. Bids must be submitted to the Pakistan High Commission office in Ottawa as per the instructions in the bidding documents.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure that all insurance coverage details and exclusions are clearly stated in the Technical Bid to avoid disqualification during evaluation. Proper documentation of experience and authorization will strengthen the bid. Timely submission before the deadline is critical to avoid rejection.
