Tender Description
The **Cereal Crops Research Institute Pirsabak Nowshera** is seeking to hire combine harvester services for harvesting its wheat seed crop grown on 159 acres at its research farm. This procurement is specific to Nowshera and aims to support the Centre of Excellence for Wheat & Maize in efficiently harvesting Pre-Basic Seed of approved wheat varieties. The harvesting is scheduled for the first fortnight of May 2026 and must be completed within 12 days. The combine harvester must be in excellent working condition, ensuring a broken grains ratio not exceeding 0.5%, zero grain blows in boosa, and boosa size between 1 to 2 cm suitable for animal feed.
Eligible bidders must be registered government contractors with active FBR tax status and registration with the KP-Provincial Revenue Authority for provincial GST on services. All applicable federal and provincial taxes will be deducted at source. Bidders are required to quote per acre charges inclusive of all taxes. A 2% bid security in the form of a call deposit is mandatory, and the successful bidder must provide a 10% performance guarantee before work commencement. A performance agreement on judicial stamp paper will be signed prior to issuing the work order.
The last date for bid submission is **04 May 2026 at 12:00 pm**, with bid opening at 2:00 pm the same day in the presence of the Procurement Committee and bidders' representatives. Interested bidders may visit the site during working hours and seek clarifications from the Farm Manager, Dr. Ibne Amin Khalil, reachable at 0333 940 2060.
A practical tip for bidders is to ensure their combine harvester meets the specified output parameters strictly, as any deviation, especially in broken grains ratio or boosa quality, may lead to penalties or disqualification. Timely completion is critical since delays attract financial deductions. Careful preparation of bid security and performance guarantees will smooth the contracting process and demonstrate seriousness to the department.
