Construction of Interchange, Interchange Road & Approach Road at Malir Expressway with Pre-stressed Overhead Bridge and Connecting Road to Education City

The Provincial Highways Division Hyderabad invites sealed bids for the construction of a major interchange, interchange road, and approach road at Malir Expressway, including the construction of a 475.50 meter pre-stressed overhead bridge at Shahra-e-Bhutto and a connecting road from the Malir Expressway Interchange to Education City. This large-scale civil works project involves extensive earthworks, road construction, reinforced earth wall work, bridge construction, bridge lighting, and horticulture works. Items being procured: - Clearing and grubbing of site - Compaction of natural ground - Earthworks for road embankment - Granular sub-base and aggregate base courses - Prime coat and asphalt base and wearing courses - Pavement marking and road studs - Kerb stones and concrete barriers - Informatory boards and steel reinforcement - Grouted riprap and stone pitching - Filter media and cement paving blocks - Key stone retaining walls - Toll booth cabins - Geotextile fabric - Excavation and piling works - Various classes of concrete works - Prestressing strands and launching girders - Steel expansion joints and bearing pads - PVC pipes and steel pipe fittings - Rubber joints - Pile testing and non-shrink grout - Heavy duty railing - Soil investigation - Bridge lighting poles, arms, cables, conduits, and earthing - LED street lights and lighting control panel - Horticulture works including soil, manure, ground cover, grass, stones, and tree plantation The project requires contractors registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in category CA or above, with relevant tax registration and experience. Bidders must submit bids accompanied by a bid security of Rs. 162.664 million. The bidding documents can be obtained from the office of the Executive Engineer, Provincial Highways Division Hyderabad, opposite Faran Hotel Saddar Hyderabad, upon payment of Rs. 5000. Bids must be delivered to the same office by 09:30 AM on 19-10-2026 and will be opened at 10:00 AM on the same day. The scope includes comprehensive civil works, reinforced earth wall construction, bridge works including piling and prestressing, bridge lighting installation, and landscaping/horticulture. The contract will be governed by the FIDIC Conditions of Contract harmonized edition March 2006, with special conditions as per the bidding documents. Performance security of 10% of the contract price is required. The project is funded by the Government of Sindh under ADP.
